BOSTON, MASS. -- The Solar Energy Business Association of New England (SEBANE) announced at its Annual Meeting in Northborough, Massachusetts on June 14, 2007, the election of the three new directors to its board.
Newly elected for three year terms are Ron French of Solar Works, Inc., William Stillinger of Pioneer Valley Photovoltaics, and Richard Gottlieb of Sunnyside Solar.
• For the past year and a half, Ron French has served as President of Solar-Works, based in Connecticut and Vermont. The company is a leading developer and contractor of systems throughout New England. Mr. French has been actively involved in the recent passage of new legislation that significantly strengthens Connecticut’s solar markets.
• Mr. Gottlieb, who was re-elected to the SEBANE board, has been involved in the solar energy field for over 40 years, starting with supporting the use of such systems by the U.S. space program. As President of Vermont-based Sunnyside Solar, he has designed and installed large numbers of systems and also teaches specialized technical courses to both new and experienced practitioners.
• William Stillinger is general manager of Pioneer Valley Photovoltaics, a design/build electrical contractor specializing in renewable energy system installations. Mr. Stillinger is an electrical engineer with many years of experience in the utilities industry with Northeast Utilities. He has been an energy professional for almost 40 years.
They join Moneer Azzam of SolarOne Solutions, Mark Farber of Evergreen Solar, Clayton Handleman of Heliotronics, Inc., Steven Strong of Solar Design Associates, and Christopher Kilfoyle of Bershire County Photovoltaics on the board of directors.
SEBANE is the business association that represents the full range of companies across New England actively engaged in providing products and services into the rapidly growing solar marketplace. Members include equipment manufacturers and distributors, designers and architects, and system installers. SEBANE member companies are active locally, regionally, nationally, and even globally.
