CT Clean Energy Fund Increases Funding For PV
$9,000,000 Available for Commercial, Industrial and Institutal Program
The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund announced the allocation of an additional $9,000,000 to its Commercial, Industrial and Institutional Solar Photovoltaic (PV) program. The additional funding is expected to significantly boost the use of solar PV statewide by businesses, non-profit organizations and other institutions.

                      

Evergreen Solar Introduces Flat Roof Mounting System
Evergreen Solar, Inc. has brought to market Sunplicity, an advanced Flat Roof Mounting System (FRMS) designed specifically for use with its EC-100 Series modules. Geared for large and small solar PV installations on commercial, institutional and government buildings, the Sunplicity FRMS is a non-penetrating, aerodynamic, self-ballasted system that enables faster, easier and more cost-effective PV installations.

                      

RWE SCHOTT Names New Chief Operating Officer
RWE SCHOTT Solar Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of solar modules and systems, announced the appointment of Mark Finocchario to the position of Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Finocchario was most recently President of Ardeo Systems, Inc., where he oversaw the company's semiconductor capital equipment sales and support business.

                      

Konarka Named World Economic Fund Technology Pioneer
Konarka Technologies, Inc., has been named a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. Solectria Renewables Launched
Solectria Corporation Sold to Azure Dynamics
Solectria Corporation has reached an agreement with Azure Dynamics Corporation, a leading developer of hybrid electric drive trains for commercial vehicles, to have Azure acquire all of its outstanding shares.

With the sale of Solectria Corporation, company co-founders James Worden and Anita Rajan Worden, have launched a new company, Solectria Renewables LLC (SolRen). The company is 100% focused on and dedicated to the development and manufacturing of power electronics for photovoltaic and other renewable power generation markets.

                      

MA DOER Releases 2003 RPS Compliance Report
The Massachusetts' Division of Energy Resources ("DOER") issued a report on Massachusetts' progress in meeting new requirements for the use of renewable energy sources such as wind, wood and methane gas to generate electricity.

                      

Konarka Expands Relationship With Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne
To Produce Photovoltaic Fabric With Swiss University
Konarka Technologies announced it is developing photovoltaic fabric with Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). The Photovoltaic Fibers and Textiles Based on Nanotechnology program is expected to yield the first fully integrated woven photovoltaic material.

                      

Evergreen Solar Forms Joint Venture in Germany
Evergreen Solar, a manufacturer of solar power products, and Q-Cells AG, the world's largest independent manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar cells, announced the formation of a joint venture to undertake the development of a 30-megawatt solar wafer, cell and module manufacturing plant in Thalheim, Germany.
