Panasonic Becomes SEBANE's First Corporate Sponsor
[April 26, 2019] – Panasonic has committed to broadly supporting the efforts of the Solar Energy Business Association of New England (SEBANE) by becoming SEBANE’s first annual corporate sponsor. The partnership will allow both parties to play a greater role in the development and long-term viability of the Massachusetts and greater New England solar markets, while enhancing the profile of Panasonic among and across SEBANE’s wide-ranging membership.
Launched in March 2019, SEBANE’s Corporate Sponsorship Program is designed to give member companies engaged in the Massachusetts and greater New England solar markets opportunities to enhance their corporate profile by investing in SEBANE’s policy efforts and commitment to unifying our advocacy in Massachusetts, and by supporting our programming efforts designed to bring solar professionals and stakeholders together to build business relationships, and share knowledge and innovative solutions to today’s most pressing energy challenges.
“After more than a decade in the solar industry, I have come to know the one constant is the need to remain diligently engaged in the political arena,” said Erik Anderson, East Coast Sales Manager, Solar and Storage at Panasonic. “To stay organized and attentive to policy which shapes our industry and collective future. Few organizations have been as effective in lobbying for the industry as SEBANE through the years and I am honored to be able to support the effort to fight the good fight with SEBANE as their first corporate sponsor.”
Panasonic has been pioneering solar power since the green revolution began. Starting with production of amorphous cell technology in 1975, no one has spent more time on solar R&D. In 1997, their HIT® modules introduced high-efficiency solar panels to the world. With full support from one of America’s most trusted brands, Panasonic installers, many of which are SEBANE member companies, stand by their work and product with confidence.
“We are honored and grateful to Panasonic for their commitment to becoming SEBANE’s first corporate sponsor, and we expect others will follow. Momentum has been building around SEBANE’s efforts to expand the solar industry in Massachusetts,” said SEBANE President Mark Sylvia. “Partnering with our members, corporate sponsors, and event sponsors has never been more important than it is today. Having Panasonic as our first corporate sponsor bolsters those efforts and continues that momentum. As a global company that is focused on expanding the deployment of solar and energy storage in the US and in Massachusetts, Panasonic is well-aligned with SEBANE’s mission, and with the Commonwealth’s solar plus storage goals, and will be a great partner in helping our industry advance these clean energy technologies in the New England markets.”
Since 2001 SEBANE has been a leader in advancing solar energy through policy advocacy, education, and networking. Our continued success depends on support from companies like Panasonic that benefit from the growth and long-term health of the regional solar energy economy, and whose products contribute to building a renewable energy economy.
Our industry is at an important juncture, especially in Massachusetts, and we require broad industry participation to continue to address the new challenges that arise as the industry grows. Our Corporate Sponsorship program entitles companies to top tier benefits of SEBANE membership and event sponsorship, additional exclusive networking opportunities.
